SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagiang Region and Chin State and isolated in Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) below April normal temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, (3°C) below April normal temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about April normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Bawlakhae, (41°C) in Chauk and (40°C) each in Magway, Aunglan and Taunggu. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Putao (0.99)inch, Machanbaw (0.67)inch, Ramthlo (0.59)inch, Myitkyina (0.31)inch, Tiddim (0.20)inch and Mogaung, Tongzan and Kawthaung (0.16)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd April, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States.
