SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin State and isolated haevyfalls in Magway Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.39 inches in Sittwe, 5.00 inches in Kawkareik, 3.31 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 2.60 inches in Ye, 2.56 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 2.52 inches each in Sinbyugyun and Hpa-an, 2.36 inches in Katha, 2.28 inches in Thabaung, 2.27 inches in Lemyethna and 2.24 inches in Yangon(Botahtaung).

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rdJune 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
