SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Bago Region and Kachin, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Mon State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.90 inches in Myeik, 2.95 inches in Pantanaw, 2.87 inches in Thaton, 2.44 inches in Kawthaung, 2.36 inches in Mingin, 1.95 inches in Mahlaing, 1.93 inches in Shwebo, 1.81 inches in Hpa-an, 1.46 inches in Tada-U(Avia-Met) and 1.44 inches in Kangyidaunt.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Southern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 -35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Shan States.
