BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” over the South China Sea has moved West-Northwestwards. Thereafter, it likely to move Westwards and intensify into a Severe Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” during next 12 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Southern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwday, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
