BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards during the next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Westcental and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 18th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
