BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm "FANI" over the Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved North- Northwestwards. It is centered at about (295) miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee (Sri-Lanka), (400)miles Southeast of Chennai (India) and (480)miles Southeast of Machilipatnam. It is forecast to move Northwestwards. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North and East central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTILAFTERNOON OF THE 30th April, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts.Surface wind speed in squalls ay reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (5-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
