BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm "FANI" over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards and it is centered at about (170)miles South-Southwest of Puri, (95)miles East- Southeast of Vishakhapatnam(India) and (310)miles South-Southwest of Digha(India). It is forecast to move North-Northeastwards. Weather is cloudy over the West central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 3rd May, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered to fairly widespread in Upper Sagiang and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
