29-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved North- Northwestwards. It is centered at about 795 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 150 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 65 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and scattered in Kachin, Kayin and Mon State.Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above May normal temperatures in Shan State, (5°C) to (6°C) above May normal temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Kayah States, (3°C) above May normal temperature in Bago Region, (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State, (2°C) below May normal temperature in Kayin State and about May normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (47°C) in Gangaw, (46°C) each in Myinmu, Myingyan Nyaung Oo, Chauk and Pauk, (45°C) in Monywa and (44°C) each in Kalewa, Mingin, Shwebo, Kyemone, Mandalay, Minbu, Magway, Pakokku and Taungdwingyi. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Launglon (1.85)inches, Kyeikdon (1.52)inches, Kawthaung (1.30)inches, Kya-In-Seikkyi (1.24)inches, Dawei (0.94)inch, Myeik (0.87)inch and Kyeikkhame (0.83)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th May, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah state. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
