29-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 785 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 80 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Chin and Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyauktaw (4.61) inches, Chaungsone (4.25)inches, Gwa (3.35)inches, Paletwa (3.31)inches, Maungdaw (3.19)inches, Hinthada (2.76)inches, Mawlamyine (2.67)inches, Thandwe, Taungkok and Myauk U (2.44)inches each, Ngathaichaung (2.32)inches, Tharrawady (2.28) inches, Ramthlo (2.20)inches, Mudon (2.13)inches, Kawkareik (2.09)inches and Okkan (2.05)inches. 

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of  West Bengal  and Odisha coast(India) has crossed North Odisha coast and adjoining  area of  West Bengal(India).Monsoon is moderate to strong  over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with  isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon states. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters Wave height will be about (9 -13)feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and about (6-9)feet in Gulf of Mottama,  off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States.
