29-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 785 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 80 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and  strong over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfall in Naypyitaw, Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 –10) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (4 – 7) feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
