BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 19th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine and Chin States, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfall in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9)feet in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4 – 6) feet in Gulf of Mottama,Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
