SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan State, scattered in Bago and Yangon Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kawthaung (2.63)inches, Kyeikkhame (2.13)inches, Machanbaw and Mogaung (1.65)inches each, Thaton (1.42)inches, Phyarpon (1.34)inches, Maubin (1.22) inches, Mingin (1.18)inches and Dawei (1.14)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 – 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Kachin State.
