BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 21st July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 – 9) feet off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet in Delatic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Kachin State.
