29-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 785 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 80 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Southern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfall in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfall in Taninthayi Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyaukphyu (4.01)inches, Manaung (3.19)inches, Kawthaung (3.11)inches, Belin (2.09) inches, Putao (1.89)inches, Taungkok and Zalun (1.54)inches each and  Mogaung (1.38)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw,  Lower Sagaing,  Mandalay and  Magway Regions, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Delatic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet in Delatic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi  Coasts and about (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
