2-12-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 80 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to recurve slowly Southwestwards and weaken gradually into a Depression during next 12 hrs.Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal area of West Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Bay of Bengal and moderate over the Andaman Sea.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON  OF THE 27th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9– 11)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast and about (4-8)feet off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
