2-12-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 80 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to recurve slowly Southwestwards and weaken gradually into a Depression during next 12 hrs.Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions,  Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Magway and Bago Regions, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy  amount of rainfall recorded were Hpa-an(6.65)inches, Kamamaung (5.83)inches, Belin (5.59)inches, Thaton (5.52)inches, Paing Kyone (5.08)inches, Theinzayet (4.84)inches, Phyu (4.77)inches, Shwekyin (4.33)inches, Nyaunglaybin (4.10)inches, Yay (3.90)inches, Madauk (3.70) inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit (3.46)inches, Kya-In-Seikkyi (3.32)inches, Shwegwin (3.24)inches, Zaung Tu (2.96)inches, Taunggu (Aviation) (2.91)inches, Kawkareik (2.87)inches and Minbu (2.80)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9 –12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about ( 5– 8) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
