BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURE CONDITION: Yesterday the tropical depression over South China Sea developed to tropical storm (Kajiki) is crossing the coast of Vietnam and it is forecast to move Southwest ward.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 03rd September, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfall in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State.Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 –13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
