BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 18th October, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
