SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Northern Shan, Kayin States and widespread inthe remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. Day temperatures were(3°C) below May average temperature in Kachin State and (2°C) above May average temperature in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Gangaw, (41°C) in Chauk and (40°C) inVarr, Kalewa, Kalay, Kyemone, Nyaungoo, Minbu, Pauk and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.66) inchesin Kyeikmayaw, (2.76) inches in Theinzayet, (2.20) inches in Launglon, (2.09) inches in Shwekyin, (1.97) inches in Madaya, (1.77) inches in Madauk, (1.65) inches each in Pyinoolwin, Singu, Thabeikkyin and Dawei and (1.61) inches each in  Belin and Kawthaung and (1.57) inches in Moemate.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy over the Southwest Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Mon States, fairly widespread inUpper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon,Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine, KayinStates, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan,Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain inBago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, TaninthayiRegions and Kayin, Mon States.
