BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18thMay, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Rakhine State, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon States.Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough sea are likely at time Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35)mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in the Deltaic Areas.
