BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over coastal Odisha India moved westwards and now lies over interior Odisha as Land Depression. It is likely continuous to move West-Northwestwards and gradually weaken into a Low Pressure Area over Chhattisgarh, India. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong to vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 10th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwaddy, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squall with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (8-10) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.
