SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay,Magway Regionsand widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway, Bago Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.43) inches in Madauk, (5.08) inches in Shwekyin, (4.06) inches in Hpa-an(Agro- Met),(3.50) inches in Thaton, (3.35) inches in Mudon, (3.31) inches in PaingKyone, (2.79) inches in Shan–Ywar-Thit, (2.76) inches in Myitkyina, (2.71) inches in Ye and (2.61) inches in Hainggyigyun.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong to vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will befairly widespread in Naypyitaw, LowerSagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and ShanState and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, MonStatesand isolated heavyfalls in Ayeryarwady Region and Kayin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squall with  moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (7-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Continuations of increase of rain in Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
