SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.31) inches each in Sittwe and Kawkareik, (5.24) inches in Pauktaw, (5.16) inches in Ponnagyun, (3.94) inches in Theinzayet, (3.31) inches in Mudon, (3.15) inches in Myawaddy, (3.03) inches in Launglon, (2.60) inches in Rathitaung, (2.56) inches in Minbya, (2.36) inches in Mawlamyine and (2.35) inches in Paing Kyone.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong  over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the Land Depression  near Hanoi, Vietnam continue to move West-Northwestwards and weaken into a Low Pressure Area and then it is forecast to reach Eastern Myanmar Areas as a wave today evening.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (7-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
