BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MANDOUS”over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about (700) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island, (790) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (130) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Jaffna (Sri Lanka) and (165) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 9th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
