SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperature in Southern Shan State and (2°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C) each in Naypyitaw (Zeyarthiri), Pyinmana, Chauk, Aunglan, Taunggu, Shwekyin, Laydatpyin and Hpa-an.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th March 2024: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions.
