29-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 785 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 80 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 3rd September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Shan State.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7 - 9 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be weak to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4 - 7 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.
