29-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 785 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 80 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs MST today, the wave over Central and Northwest Myanmar areas still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards slowly and continue to cross Chin and Rakhine States. Thereafter it is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards  and may reach over coastal Bangladesh and adjoining Northwest Bay of Benbal during next (48) hrs.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 12th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
