29-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 785 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 80 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Kachin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.46 inches in Pyinoolwin(Zeepingyi), 1.14 inches each in Myeik and Kawthaung, 1.07 inches in Kanbalu, 0.79 inch in Mingin, 0.59 inch in Tamu and 0.55 inch in Falam. 

BAY INFERENCE: Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and Deltaic Myanmar areas. Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Southern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
