29-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” has crossed near Trincomalee(Srilanka) and moved North- Northwestwards. It is centered at about 795 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 175 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 45 Nautical miles West-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards across Northeastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and near South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.   Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy  over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and A few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Yangon Region and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.84 inches in Yangon(Mayangone), 4.72 inches in Okkan, 4.25 inches in Yangon(Mingaladon), 3.94 inches in Hlegu, 3.82 inches in Phyarpon, 3.70 inches in Kyaiklat, 3.50 inches in Yangon (Botahtaung), 3.15 inches in Hmawbi, 2.90 inches in Bogale and  2.76 inches in Khayan.

 BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Eastcentral Bay has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 210 Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), 390 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island West Bengal (India). Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay, Eastcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Kachin and  (Southern and Eastern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Frequently squalls with rough and very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 50-55 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 11-15 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
