29-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved North- Northwestwards. It is centered at about 795 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 150 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 65 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Southern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Mon State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region, Rakhine and Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Thaton (4.17)inches, Myauk U (3.46)inches, Mahlaing (2.50)inches, Yangon(Kaba-Aye) (2.40)inches, Gwa (2.17)inches, Pinlaebu and Taungkok (2.05)inches each, Myeik (1.97) inches, Manaung (1.89)inches, Thandwe (1.50)inches, Namsam (1.46)inches, Muse and Mindat (1.41)inches each, Bhamo and Yay (1.38)inches each, Yangon (Northern Dagon) and Hlaingbwe (1.34)inches each.   

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th June, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay Region, Southern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi  Regions, Kachin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 – 9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
