29-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved North- Northwestwards. It is centered at about 795 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 150 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 65 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayah, Mon States, fairly widespread in  Southern Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.60 inches in Hainggyigyun, 2.16 inches in Putao, 1.97 inches in Manaung, 1.42 inches in Sittwe, 1.22 inches in Kawthaung, 1.18 inches in Gangaw, 0.98 inch in Myeik and 0.94 inches in Namsam(Southern Shan).

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the West Bengal(India) and adjoining Bangladesh almost stationary still persists. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagain Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States and widespread in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
