BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th July 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Mon, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Chin States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Frequent squalls with very rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 45 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 14-16 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershowers with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
