29-11-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” has crossed near Trincomalee(Srilanka) and moved North- Northwestwards and now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka. It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 160 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 55 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining and near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing and  Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, Chin and Rakhine States, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Labutta (4.02)inches, Gwa (3.43)inches, Coco Island and Myeik (3.38)inches each, Zaung Tu (3.19)inches, Mogaung (3.15)inches, Hlaingbwe (3.11)inches, Kataingti (2.72)inches, Dawei (2.40)inches and Launglon (2.20) inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6thAUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters.  Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (6 - 9) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
