29-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 785 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 80 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over  the Andaman Sea and  South Bay and moderate elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 21st July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing,  Mandalay and  Magway Regions,  scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper sagaing,  Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times  off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 – 9) feet off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet in Delatic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Kachin State.
