2-12-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 80 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to recurve slowly Southwestwards and weaken gradually into a Depression during next 12 hrs.Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal has moved over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and has intensified into a depression. It is centered at about (70) miles South-Southeast of Digha and (85)miles Southeast of Blasore (India). Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07thAugust, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in the whole country with regionally heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and TaninthayiRegions and Chin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Frequent squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10– 15)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
