2-12-2025: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) has weaken into a Depression now lies over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining the Westcentral Bay, North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) is centered at about 755 Nautical miles West of Coco Island(Myanmar), 70 Nautical miles North-Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 15 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely continue to move slowly Southwestwards towards the North Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts, India and weaken gradually into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. Weather is cloudy over the Northwest and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing  Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions and Eastern Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfall in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Sittwe (3.86)inches, Kyeikkhame (2.60)inches, Hpa-an and Mudon (2.40)inches each, Mogaung  (2.36)inches, Hmawbi(Agro-Met) (2.05)inches,  Putao (1.93)inches, Thandwe and Bago (1.85)inches each, Kya – In- Seikkyi (1.78)inches and Khayan (1.67)inches.

 BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

 FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kayin and Mon States.
