(30.5.2023): Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

            According to the observations at (15:30)hrs MST today, due to 
the  Easterly waves, development of convective clouds and the remanent of 
clouds from typhoon “Mawar” over Philippine Sea, rain or thundershowers 
will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, 
Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States with likelihood 
of regionally and isolated heavyfalls with strong wind from (28.5.2023) to 
(30.5.2023). 
            Squall with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, 
off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 
(35)mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and 
along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
