BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm ”(ARNAB) over the westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved West- Northwestwards and still persists. It is centered at about 600 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 90 Nautical miles South- Southeast of Visakhapatnam and 80 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada, India. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 28th October 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.                 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
