SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Regions and Chin, Northern Shan States and isolated in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above April average temperatures in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah States and 2°C below April average temperature in Northern Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 43.2°C in Chauk, 42.8°C in Minbu, 42.4°C in Magway, 42.0°C each in Myingyan and Sagaing, 41.5°C each in Mandalay and Nyaung Oo, 41.5°C in Aunglan and 41.0°C each in Tada U(Aviation Met), Tharrawady, Pakokku, Taungdwingyi and Myinmu on 19-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.10 inches in Naungcho, 0.94 inch in Panglong, 0.79 inch in Loilin, 0.75 inch in Hopong, 0.50 inch in Laihka, 0.47 inch in Tachileik, 0.44 inch in Sinbyugyun, 0.39 inch in Mogaung and 0.35 inch each in Namsan(Southern Shan) and Monghsat.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Shan States.
