SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 10.80 inches in Coco Island, 3.74 inches in Kungyangon, 3.23 inches in Hpa-an, 3.15 inches in Dedaye, 2.63 inches each in Hainggyigyun and Dawei, 2.56 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 2.52 inches in Hlegu, 2.28 inches in Hkamti and 2.17 inches in Kyauktan. 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6thJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Chin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
