SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Kayah, Eastern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.09 inches in Myitkyina, 2.80 inches in Kyeikkhame, 2.76 inches in Hkamti, 1.84 inches in Mawlamyine, 1.65 inches each in Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri), Myeik and Pinlaungg, 1.61 inches in Tharyarwaddy, 1.60 inches each in Ingapu and Pantanaw and 1.57 inches in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri).
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10thJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
