It is likely to move Northwestwards and across North Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, India during next 24 hours. Monsoon is storng over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bangel. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bangel.

A strong earthquake of magnitude 7.5 (M) with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Flores Region, Indonesia), latitude 8.33°S, longitude 121.44°E, depth (15) kilometers, about (2447) miles southeast of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (04) hr (28) min (28) sec M.S.T on 15th August, 2026.
