SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin State, scattered in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Mon State, isolated in Yangon Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The highest day temperatures were 38.8°C in Chauk, 37.7°C in Sagaing, 37.1°C in Zaung Tu, 36.6°C each in Shwekyin and Aunglan, 36.5°C each in Phyu and Minbu and 36.4°C each in Ela, Tharrawaddy, Myinmu and Belin on 10-10-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.90 inch in Bogale, 0.87 inch each in Okkan and Ngathaichaung, 0.83 inch in Zalun, 0.79 inch in Hainggyigyun, 0.55 inch in Theinzayet, 0.51 inch in Ye, 0.35 inch in Myawaddy, 0.28 inch each in Khayan and Kengtung and 0.20 inch in Phyarpon.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th October 2026: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Kayin, Mon States,  scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.  

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershower in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
