SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States, isolated in Yangon, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.02 inches in Paung, 0.86 inch in Chaungsone, 0.52 inch each in Dawei and Kya-In-Seikkyi, 0.20 inch in Kawkareik, 0.16 inch each in Mandalay and Thazi(Hlaingtat), 0.08 inch each in Yangon(Kaba Aye) and Ye.  

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
