28-10-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “ARNAB” over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and it is crossing Andhra Pradesh and Yanam coasts between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam (India), close to south of Yanam.Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

National Public Awareness Workshop on Acid Deposition and Other Related Atmospheric Pollutions in was held on 13, June, 2013 at Myat Taw Win Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar . The workshop was organized by the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET), Asia Centre for Air Pollution and host by the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH), Myanmar.
The 10 th Monsoon Forum 2013 , organized as part of project “ Reducing risk of tsunamis, storm surges, large waves and other natural hazards i n low elevation coastal zones ” supported by UNESCAP and with technical assistance from WMO and RIMES, was held in Myat Taw Win Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw at 3 May , 2013. At the opening ceremony, Director General of Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, Dr Hrin Nei Thiam, delivered the welcome speech and Ms. Ruby Rose Policarpio, Institutional Development Specialist of RIMES has briefed about the Forum.

The Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET) held its session in 2012 (SAC2012) from 22 to 24 November 2012 in Hotel Yangon, Yangon, Myanmar. The session was organized by the Secretariat and the Network Center (NC) for the EANET and host by the Government of Myanmar.
