SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Chin State and isolated in Mandalay, Upper  Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. Weather has been generally fair weather in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above March average temperatures in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and 3°C to 4°C below March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 42.0°C in Minbu, 41.0°C inTaunggu, 40.8°C each in Shwekyin and Magway, 40.6°C each in Zaung Tu and Bago, 40.5°C in Chauk and 40.0°C each in Meiktila, Pyay, Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun and Hinthada on 29-3-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.24 inch each in Nyaung Oo and Dawei, 0.08 inch in Putao and 0.04 inch in Hakha.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st March 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair weather in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions.
