SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been fairly widespread in (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Kachin State and isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Southern State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above April average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State and 2°C below April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Chin, Southern Shan States, 4°C below April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin State and 5°C below April average temperature in Northern Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.0°C in Nyaunglaybin, 39.8°C in Tharrawady, 39.7°C each in Taungoo and Zalun, 39.5°C each in Gyobingauk and Pakokku, 39.4°C each in Myingyan, Pyay and Myawaddy and 39.3°C each in Shwekyin and Kawkareik on 8-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.67 inch in Monghsat, 0.28 inch in Mogaung, 0.20 inch each in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and Hkamti, 0.16 inch in Naungcho, 0.12 inch in Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri) and 0.08 inch each in Myitkyina, Hsipaw, Lashio and Laihka.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th April 2026: Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions. Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Northern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
