SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above April average temperatures in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Northern Shan States, 3°C below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 43.4°C in Chauk, 42.2°C in Sinbyugyun, 42.0°C in Myinmu, 41.8°C in Myingyan, 41.5°C in Minbu, 41.3°C in Taunggu, 41.2°C each in Tada U(Aviation-met) and Magway, 41.1°C in Zaung Tu and 41.0°C each in Nyaung Oo and Aunglan on 13-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.11 inch each in Putao and Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal and generally fair over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, (Northern and Southern) Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States.
