SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been fairly widespread in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern) Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above April average temperatures in Yangon, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 43.0°C each in Chauk and Myinmu, 42.0°C each in Myingyan and Magway, 41.6°C in Zaung Tu, 41.5°C each in Nyaung Oo and Minbu, 41.4°C each in Aunglan and Sagaing and 41.1°C in Sinbyugun on 14-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.43 inch in Putao, 0.16 inch in Machanbaw, 0.08 inch in Mogaung and 0.04 inch in Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a generally fair over the Southwest Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Yangon, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern)Shan States.
