SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Mon, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.03 inches in Paung, 2.60 inches in Sittwe, 2.24 inches in Mogaung, 2.12 inches in Myitkyina, 2.09 inches in Manaung, 1.93 inches in Taunggu(Avia-Met), 1.85 inches in Putao, 1.77 inches each in Kyauktan and Myeik, 1.57 inches in Khayan and 1.38 inches in Mogok. 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21stJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah, Chin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Saging Region and Kachin, Mon States.
